tax irs refund
Statue of limitations on my tax refund, IRS will really keep my money?

I got a letter from the IRS told me that they thought because I did not have my refund for 2001, filed in 2002, and 2003, and they expect me to thank for this years have. They maintain the current reimbursement so that they can withdraw my refund, all taxes due from. I have filed taxes for the years I had missed, and to my surprise, I am a serious drawback for the year 2001, a decent refund for 2002 and some change for the year 2003rd The letter they sent me said that I was up to three years from the date the tax return to be due a refund. Does this really mean that they I only refund the return for 2003? I'm really upset (with myself, of course).

Yup. For the 2001 tax year you are pretty much hosed. You can not even get 02, because the returns were by 04/15/2003 (Sorry dude what you up to 04/17/2006), if an expansion in this case, you have probably have until August or October. you can still get your refund even though 2003rd One tactic may be able to use (and I do not know if there is any) the Refund of the tax next year are on your income and see if you can get everything will work thorugh the year of 2003. I doubt that it would work, but there is a small chance it is possible. Best bet is to get a CPA and see if they can do something about it.
